DANIEL D. WALTER, CEO/FOUNDER. Mr. Walter is the founder and CEO of SouthPointe Digital Technologies, LLC. Prior to SouthPointe Digital, he was CEO and a Director of Avalon Digital Marketing Services a small publicly held email marketing company where he was instrumental in bringing them through the later stages of bankruptcy to spin off the IP assets as a smaller non-public company for a private investment group. Mr. Walter has over 20 years of senior executive management and entrepreneurial experience in the customer contact and direct marketing sector. The past 15 years he held senior management positions in the call center and litigation support environments.
Mr. Walter was formerly EVP and CBDO for Focus Legal Solutions, a litigation support company where he was instrumental in charting their business service offerings from a local law firm basis into large Fortune 500 corporate legal department offerings. Previous to that, he was with CRM Solutions where he was Executive Vice President and consultant for the company's large call center clients in sales and business development. Prior to that he was a co-founder and Executive Vice President of Webhelp where he built the sales from a start-up to a company with over 1,500 employees.
This position followed his position as Corporate Senior Vice President over Global Business Development and Global Chairman of the Telecommunications Industry segment worldwide and a member of the Office of the President for SITEL Corporation, (NYSE SWW). While at SITEL he was instrumental in building the company sales revenues from less than $15 million to over $750 million while personally selling a total in excess of $1.5 billion worth of services for long-term high value contracts with large global companies.
DON VAN SCYOC, CHIEF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT OFFICER:
Don Van Scyoc has over 25 years experience in the insurance industry with a strong background in designing, building and delivering diverse product solutions through direct sales, agents and integrated distribution channels in the direct-to-consumer and affinity group markets. He has also provided strategic and tactical consulting and training services to financial services companies and marketing services providers.
He has served in market focused strategic roles as a business unit leader, marketer and product manager. As a Senior Vice President, he led various customer-focused strategic business units where he created and executed multi-channel sales, marketing and communication strategies across various product lines. He has served on executive leadership committees and directed cross-functional executive strategic planning teams. He has been instrumental in securing and managing direct marketing arrangements with national financial organizations, and he led the implementation of a customer-focused business model in a multi-line product oriented company.
Early in his career, he held several analytical positions followed by a number of years in management and operations. In his operational role he developed and implemented multiple systems and technology solutions that supported independent marketing organizations and internal company operations.
Don has spoken to a wide range of conferences and groups about implementing strategic initiatives, integrated marketing and customer relationship management strategies. He is the past chairman of the Direct Response Insurance Executives Council, and he has served in several roles with the Direct Marketing Association’s Financial Services Council. He holds a bachelors of science degree in accounting and business administration from Pacific Union College, and earned designations as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Certified Information System Auditor (CISA).
JEFFREY N. SIME, PRESIDENT & COO:
Mr. Sime has over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry with extensive experience in developing processing companies for the securities brokerage industry. He has had a broad range of responsibilities in fast paced growth companies including finance, accounting, treasury, human resources, technology, operations, regulatory compliance, sales and marketing. Mr. Sime was recently the President of Legent Clearing LLC, a company he founded in 2002.
Prior to founding Legent Clearing, Mr. Sime was the CFO and CAO of Kirkpatrick Pettis the securities broker dealer owned by Mutual of Omaha Insurance Company. As the CAO he created a clearing division which provided back office outsourcing services for small to mid size securities broker dealers.
Prior to joining Kirkpatrick Pettis Mr. Sime was an Internal Audit Supervisor at the Kiewit Companies where he was responsible for the internal financial and operational reviews of Kiewit’s entities including MFS Communications and Continental Can and Packaging USA and Europe. He was also the controller for The Stuart-James Company a securities broker dealer in Denver, Colorado and an auditor for Deloitte and Touche where he focused on financial services.
Mr. Sime has a Bachelors of Science degree in accounting and business administration from the University of South Dakota. In addition he is an inactive CPA in Colorado and holds several securities licenses.
CURTIS BEESON, CHIEF TECHNOLOGY OFFICER: Mr. Beeson is a 20+ year veteran of the Information Technology industry with a broad background and varied experience. Progressing from an entry level programmer to an executive level management position he has worked in operational environments as well as product delivery, support and implementation.
During his tenure at First Data, he developed the Unix systems infrastructure to support the Call Interactive. His concept, delivery and development of Open Data Streams (ODS) opened data access from any platform into First Data systems and services. Beeson also provided strategic systems integration and delivery skills for First Data's Point of Sale concentrator solutions.
As chief technology officer of the First Data Secure Signing Group, Curtis Beeson was responsible for the development of technologies associated with DataSIGNTM authentication solutions, which are based on First Data's Account Based Digital Signature model.
His expertise in systems delivery and integration helped him develop a keen sense and skill in security analysis and assessment on behalf of First Data businesses. Beeson is a seasoned speaker with engagements at leading industry conferences.
